This past Thursday, Libby and five of her friends had tea to celebrate Libby's fifth birthday.
We went to Mrs. Tea's Garden Tea Shop for a Fancy Nancy themed tea soiree. (That is French party. You know, everything sounds fancy in French!) The girls dressed up in their fanciest clothes, complete with tiaras and floppy hats.
Emma Jane is wearing both a tiara and a floppy hat. She is extra fancy!
Mrs. Taylor (the tea shop owner) read the girls Fancy Nancy and then they decorated fairy wings as a craft before sitting down for tea.
As a first course, the girls enjoyed fruit, pretzels and colored mini marshmallows.
After they finished the fruit course, they were served (on a three tiered server, just like a real tea!) finger sandwiches, scones and dessert! All of the girls went straight for the top tier...those little chocolate cakes were delicious! They also drank pink lemonade out of real china teacups.
It was a perfect party for my fancy girl!
