twins?

Have you ever heard it said that everyone has a twin somewhere?
I really think that is true.
My twin has the benefit of being a celebrity so she was easy for me to find.
You see the resemblance between me and this girl young enough to play a high school student her, right?

No? Well, humor me anyways...

So, for those of you that follow my IRL friend Emily's blog, you may remember this picture from one of her recent posts. For those of you that don't know Emily, what rock have you been living under check her out here. She totally rocks!
So Libby happened to be sitting with me while I was checking blogs the day this picture posted. I asked Libby who she saw in the picture and she replied, "That's Medalee and Uncle Philip."
Wrong.
Actually that is Melody's Uncle Andy. So why would my daughter think that this was a picture of her own uncle?

Well, here is a picture of the real Uncle Philip. What do you think?
That is quite a resemblance!
And Libby and I are not the only ones that think so.

Emily showed a picture of Philip to Melody and asked her who it was and Melody said, "Uncle Andy."

I have always suspected that Emily and I shared DNA somehow...
So who is your twin?

I get told all the time that I look like Jessica Biel....I don't see it, but I've heard it like 20 times!

Ok....maybe on her ugliest day and my prettiest day, during foggy and stormy weather, if someone just got tabasco splashed in their eye....then.....yeah...maybe!

(boy oh boy...but, I would LOVE to have that body! Yoga, here I come!)

I have a bloggy twin in Colorado named Kari. We look nothing alike, though... I guess we're fraternal twins! ;)

Holy crap, they DO look alike!!

I don't know if I have a twin anymore...and NO I'm not telling who it used to be. Everyone will laugh and wonder what the heck happened to me. :)

I don't know who my twin would be but I've seen my sister's twin and she lives in the same town!

The only "twin" I have is my cousin. People mix us up all the time and always have.

Wow! I had to laugh too at you asking if people know Emily. Luckily I'm not living under a rock...she is cool and so are you!

That is the funniest story!

So funny that they looks soooo much alike, and that both girls thought the same thing...HA!!

You just can't make that stuff up...for sure.

I don't think I have a twin. Hhmmm guess I'll have to think about that one!

That's hilarious!! And for what it's worth...you definitely look like the chic in the pic!

I'm constantly being told that I look like Elizabeth Shue. Of course, moreso when I was a lot thinner!! LOL

That's the best!
I was always twinned up with different people, "There's a girl that looks just like you over at..." (a girl I considered to be beauty-challenged), "You really look like Shelley Long" "Wow, you look just like Dana Delaney". Have you ever seen Shelley Long? Like as Pop Eye's girl, Olive? Yuck. And Dana Delaney, not so bad, but I knew it was mostly with because of the China Beach haircut-- and the woman has not aged well.
I think you touched on a sore spot, I'll slip out of the room now...

I see similarities all around, including you with the celebrity. :)

You do look like that girl! I have no idea who my twin is..I wish it were like Reese Witherspoon or Julia Roberts or something!

Haven't spotted mine yet either. But the two uncles look a lot alike. Like brothers!

Those two do look quite a bit alike!

I definitely see the resemblance. I've been told a few times that I've got a twin, but I have no photographic evidence of it.

YES! You look like the celeb! And yes, the uncles look alike!

I look like some nameless person that posed as me at a football game long enough to make my friends mad that I wasn't waving back at them. I have to laugh thinking about what that poor girl was thinking about those frustrated chicks waving at her!

And KMama does look like Elizabeth Shue too!

This was a fun post!

I see it! You are both super rockin' red heads! :) I get Trisha Yearwood sometimes...and this one is funny. One of the 3rd grade classes at our school got a Scholastic poster promoting reading with Carrie Underwood, along with her sisters, mom, and teacher. She showed it to her class and asked who was in the poster. A hand shot in the air and yelled, "Mrs. John Deere Mom!" :) No, I wasn't confused with Carrie...but her much older and heavier sister. ;)

It is amazing how two people unrelated can look so alike. Very similar features.
