Bangs or No Bangs?

For as long as she has had any hair to speak of, Emma Jane has had bangs. It is a good look for her because her hair is really straight and it grows forward into her eyes naturally.

The other day, I was cuddling with EJ and playing with her hair. I pushed back her bangs (which are in desperate need of a cut) and discovered that she has a pretty cute little forehead. So then I started to wonder whether I should take her for her long overdue haircut or just continue the laziness let her bangs grow out.

I cannot make this decision. I keep going back and forth and second guessing myself. So you tell me...which is cuter?

Bangs?

or

No bangs?

Please vote for Emma Jane's new hairdo in the poll to the right. Next week I will either cut her hair or start growing them out!

I think she is adorable either way, BUT since she has always had bangs try growing them out.

Layla let hers grown out by wearing clippies, but a friend of ours wouldn't wear clips. She cut bangs again b/c her 'growing out' hair was always in her eyes.

Can't wait to see how the voting turns out! Fun!

I say no bangs. Why? Because it's easier after they grown out and you don't have to keep getting them trimmed!

I don't know, that is one of those things that is hard to decide on. No bangs means not so many hair cuts, but also that you have to style the hair to keep it out of the eyes all the time...work either way!

Smart of you to have the poll! I have an Emma Jane, too!

oh man, this is hard. It's adorable both ways. Bangs, in a way, just fit EJ's personality. She looks older with out them. And more like Libby. I can't decide!

Bangs are so much work. :) I love the no bang method. You never really have to cut their hair. haha!

Oh my goodness... with no bangs she looks exactly like Libby!!!!

She really does look so much more like Libby without the bangs. I say go for it! You can always but them again later if you want.

I totally agree that she looks more like Libby without bangs. Oh, and I voted NO bangs in case you're interested. Which should become evident right about now...

I am TOTALLY a "no bangs" Mama. I don't have the energy or desire to keep up with trimming bangs. It's enough of a challenge to just get it all cut one length times 2 children. Though I did just go to the same girl that cuts their hair and have her cut mine today. For the 1st time in 20 years I just sat down, told someone the specifics of how I like my style cut and then didn't worry about it any more. I'm that over haircuts!

Ok, she's cute either way but I voted.

She is adorable either style but I voted No Bangs to give it a try. Its amazing what a difference it makes in a person's look though, isn't it? My daughter's hair is just finally getting long enough (at almost 3) to pull back in pony tails and such - I've debated whether to let it all grow out or cut bangs when needed...not sure yet myself!

She is cute both ways but I say stay with the bangs b/c growing it out is a pain!

Well, it looks like the voting results are overwhelming at this point. I say grow them out -- but she's still pretty dang cute either way.

I think both ways are cute! But I asked my 4 yr old & she prefered the no bangs picture.

what a cutie pie!!! i say go no bangs - she looks so cute (and who doesn't love a different look every now & then?)

You know I think she is too cute, regardless. I vote for no bangs. However, be aware that this may make discipline even harder! ;)

She is cute both ways and if you are already doing her hair then making sure they are out of her eyes will be a breeze..... I am a lazy mom and don't tend to "do" hair often! Good luck!

You were right-- her face just lit up when the bangs were pulled back.
She's adorable both ways, maybe you should save money on haircuts to invest in a really expensive body guard for when she hits high school ;-)

Bangs! Always such a huge decision for us girls...she looks cute either way. I think I prefer no bangs though.

I vote for bangs.

because no bangs requires doing the hair up every day to keep the eyes clear. With bangs the hair can be worn down and the eyes are unaffected

but she looks darling either way. I’m making children’s books today. If you want to wander down my road I’m home.

Being that I had similar hair to your sweet girl (straight as a board and baby fine), my mom had me in bangs for a long while....and I would have liked to go without them as some point...

So, my vote is NO BANGS...at least for now....try it out....it'll be fun!

Definitely cute both ways, but I vote no bangs.

Having no girls myself I've never had to make such a decision for my kids but am struggling with it over my hair currently. EJ has and adorable little face and I'd LOVE to see her with no bangs! Me on the other hand...I think I'm going to have to take the plunge and get some bangs to tame this five-finger forehead of mine. LOL

Definitely a cutie either way, but I say do something different. Grow the bangs out! :)
